We have a close-knit community here; everyone gets along well. One of my favorite things about working here is that I get to make new and different parts every day. I may go months before making the same part again, and with that our average part quantity is less than ten, meaning I can make many different parts in the same day. As a machinist on the shop floor, I am responsible for everything from loading a program, doing any tool changes and set up requirements to running the program all the way through for all parts required. giving me a sense of responsibility and pride for everything I do.

I have really enjoyed working here at LCM. The people here have trained me well, and they pay me well for my efforts.  The projects that we work on are interesting, and it is a great benefit to be able to come in and make different things almost every day, not thousands of the same few parts week after week.  I feel appreciated here. This is a place where I always feel like I am being treated fairly and honestly. Here you really are a person, not just an employee number.

I like working at Leister Custom Machining, because the building is air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. I enjoy my coworkers and learn new things from them daily. I like that on Friday’s we get breakfast pizza in the morning and on employee’s birthdays we get ice cream. I like working here because it is a cleaner shop than other places I have worked.
